I first started training with Jon in September 2016 after giving up on PT elsewhere. I wasn’t getting results I hoped for and something just wasn’t working. I came across a last minute session on Facebook and decided to give it a go.
Over one year later, I still train woth Jon religiously. I’d had an accident in 2009 resulting in a few of prolapsed discs and I think other trainers were scared to push me, but Jon wasn’t. I don’t think I’ve ever had a session where I didn’t leave dripping with sweat and it definitely paid off – in the space of just 3 and a bit months I had shed almost 2 stone, my nutrition was nailed and I was smashing PB after PB feeling fitter, stronger and healthier than I had ever felt. I continued to shed another half stone over the coming months (even while dealing with sickness and being on holiday!).
When I met Jon I could barely run 5km, however in May 2017, I completed my first half marathon with ease!
Jon is a confident coach full of encouragement – and punishment when I’m slacking – but on top of that he is a genuinely nice guy. I have never felt self conscious or insecure in my training when at Victory and can’t recommend him highly enough. I’m grateful for all the support he has given and continues to give me and can’t wait to hit my target weight.
